Stating the obvious here, but; asymmetrical skirts are totally in! Opt for something high-waisted (teamed with a waist-cinching belt to show definition) and pair with a singlet or fitted top, for a breezy summer look. Considering that tan colours are tres haute right now, it might be a good idea to get a brightly-hued orange (or something similar) skirt and wear it with a creamy-tan coloured singlet and tan sandals and belt. However, if tan isn't really your thing, you could always try other bright and summery colours (like a mixture of turquoise and aquamarine) and as long as the skirt remains the focal piece of the outfit (with everything else a bit more simple) it should look AMAZING!
For fashion newbies: a asymmetrical skirt is something that's short at the front and long at the back.
Do's and don't s: Personally, I'd say to always wear asymmetrical skirts with a fitted top, as it can bring down the look to have two loose-fitting things in the same outfit. Generally, it looks best with singlets (for a real summery look) but otherwise, it still looks good to wear it with short-sleeved or long-sleeved tops, as long as it's fitted
